In the last 24 hours, two of my clients have received very credible texts from HMRC (apparently) telling them they are entitled to large tax rebates (>£1,800) and inviting them to click on a link.
Don't be conned by these crooks.
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will never use texts or emails to:
- tell you about a tax rebate or penalty
- ask for personal or payment information
